FEATURES of TEACHING “VERBS of MOTION” (VoM) in THE PRESENT TENSE to THE TURKISH LANGUAGE SPEAKERS
Each language, in itself, is a unique display of the mentality of its speakers, and of cultural, social and historical aspects of their identity. This leads to a number of complications in the common perception of reality for each of language speakers, and, in particular, in their study of foreign languages. Such phenomenon is especially evident when comparing VoM in their present tense in Russian and Turkish. VoM in Russian are imperfective verbs grouped in pairs that are opposite of each other, in the sense of multiplicity/non–multiplicity, and their unidirectional/non-unidirectional nature.
