Abstract


RELATİONSHİP BETWEEN PERCEPTİON PERFECTİONİSM ANXİETY LEVELS OF SCHOOL ADMİNİSTRATORS
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between school administrators' perceptions of perfectionism and their anxiety levels in terms of some variables. The participants were composed of 132 school administrators working in Tokat province and districts. The Principal Anxiety Scale which consists of 24 items and developed by Şahin (2011), the Multi-dimensional Perfectionism Scale which were developed by Hewitt and Flett (1991), translated by Oral (1999) and shortened by Kıral (2012), and Demographics Questionnaire which was developed by the author were used as the data collection tools. These scales were conducted on 130 school administrators. In the study, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were used. According to the findigs, no significant difference between the administrators' perceptions of perfectionism and their anxiety leves in terms of their age and year of work was found. However, significant differences between their perceptions of perfectionism and anxiety levels were determined in terms of year of work as an administor and their branches. Moreover, as the administors' perceptions of perfectionism increased, their anxiety levels were found to be increasing as well.
