MIDDLE MONGOLIAN CALENDER FRAGMENT FROM TURFAN
Calendar fragments, which were examined by Mongolists such as E. Haenisch, W. Heissig, N. Poppe, have an important place among the Middle Mongolian texts. These calendars, which contains astrological divinations, seem not only in the Mongols but also in the Chinese and Manchu. This work contains six Turfan Mongol calendar fragments with their transcriptions and translations. The fragments were compared with similar explainings in Chinese. Fragments are also given with their facsimiles, which contains positive and negative activity for specific days and various astrological predictions.
