Abstract


PERSPECTİVE OF TSARİST RUSSİA PERİOD OF BETWEEN SAN STEFANO AND BERLİN TREATİES
One of the most noteworthy battles of Turkish –Russo war history is the war of 1877-1878, which is called the 93 war in Ottoman records. The diplomacy dimenson that emerged at the end of the conflict between the Balkans and the Caucasian people in the side of Anatolian period of April 24, 1877-March 3, 1878 years became very encouraging, strategic and international problem which caused damage to the both parties. As a matter of fact, in March 3, 1878 in the suburb of Istanbul (Yesilkoy) the Treaty of San Stefano was signed. This treaty gave the Tsarist Russia geopolitical power in the region of Southern-West Caucasus and the Balkans. As a result Britain, Germany and Austria-Hungarian`s reaction came to the military and political arena. The influence of this political atmosphere against Russia and the weakness of Russian army in front of the powerful opponents St. Petersburg has been persuaded to solve problems with a large-scale conference. However, between the period of San Stefano Treaty and the Berlin Treaty; many ideas and discussions brought together between the russian commanders and statesmen in the Caucasus and Balkans, Czarist Alexander II, Russian Entelejians, consulate of Russian in London, Berlin, Vienna and Russian general chief of Commanders. In this article, the strategic phase of the period between the two treaties described above is written in the light of Russian Works from the Russian window.
