Abstract


THE TRACES OF OLD TURKİSH İN THE DİVAN OF KAYGUSUZ ABDAL
Kaygusuz Abdal who is an important name for history of Turkish culture and literature had lived from the end of the XIV. century to the first half of XV. century. He is son of Hüsameddin Mahmud who is Alaiye bannerlord. Kaygusuz Abdal, who most likely died in 1444, is the first and greatest representative of Bektashi literature. Abdal who is a productive folk poet has about fifteen work of verse, prose and verse-prose. Folk literature is one of the most important cultural treasures of Turkish in terms of not only phonetic and morphological structures but also lexicology. It is possible that in Folk literature products see archaic traces in terms of phonetic, morphologic and vocabulary. For solving especially historical problems of Turkish, generaly by viewing phonetic, morphologic and semantic depth of the Turkish dialects, that archaic elements have been benefited. Because that rich vocabularies are the most important language indicators contributing to the clarification of the many points from to the progress of development and change of the Turkısh language to preferences in socio-cultural, political and economic life of Turkish nation. This study includes the old Turkish words which are in the Divan of Kaygusuz Abdal which is consists of about 200 poems. The features of phonetic, morphological and semantic of that tackled words will have been emphasized. Finally, the old Turkish suffics which are in the Divan will have been included.
